Hobnails; from boots to glass

I took this picture of a small pitcher from the farmhouse.  The glass design is actually from the bottom of old boots that were worn during wartime. 

There is so much information on the internet about these two subjects that I couldn't possible include here.  So whether you like glass, old boots, or just useless information like me, have fun researching your favorite hobnail! S
